Any chance the old games will be open sourced ever?

Reading news about first Carmack's games source became available, I was wondering about other companies and theirs old titles.

with the Clausewitz engine or even the old Europa engine (the original grand strategy engine), I highly doubt that they will ever be open sourced. even AoD, the newest Europa engine game (2009/2010) was licensed. and PDS switched over to Clausewitz with EU3. which I think was 7 years ago.

There are many things which are done without benefits. Even by commercial organizations.

After all, id Software regularly opens their engines, even the relatively new id Tech 4.
