I did not have time to play for several Month's, and when i went back to play again it just HAD to update. So ever since then on some missions it crashes to desktop during the mission launch Prep. Is there any fix for this extremely annoying problem...???

Is this in a new campaign or career started under the new updates? Or an older one?


Please attach here the game log:

To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.


DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
 
You attached them here? Because they didn't make it, somehow.
 
I don't know this AV app (and firewall maybe?) but it should not be in the game's crash stack:
C:\Program Files (x86)\CheckPoint\Endpoint Security\EFR\CP_AmsiProvider64.dll
C:\ProgramData\CheckPoint\ZoneAlarm\Data\avsys\temp\sdk8\Amsi\amsi_plugin64.dll
Please make sure BattleTech.exe is in its exceptions list.

And you may as well update that nVidia driver:

If those don't help, can we see if you get similar problems with a new career? Do you know what game version you had when you started this problem one?
