Recently became acquainted with the 0-troop-morale-on-reload glitch in Crusader Kings and it's kind of hurting my enjoyment of the game a lot. I've been getting into Victoria lately and haven't really encountered anything I'd call gamebreaking yet, but... I'm considering getting the expansion, and I want to know if there are any deeply problematic, unresolved issues before I do.

Thanks.

I don't know of any game-breaking bugs. There might be minor issues, but they don't weigh heavily.

The expansion really improves the game by far, so I recommend buying it.

Also get VIP:R!

There's always the bug that if the human player has either state capitalist or planned economy party in power nearly all others AI's just die and barely do anything. I find that the most game breaking bug as I hate having the AI control my economy with intervent or laizey party in power... Id like to see that fixed..

Is this true? havent noticed this before.

Check it out, like UK it barely produces railroads same with France but then you change the ruling party to intervent or laizay and you'll see railroads pop up same with factories.

In other countries? I dont see how the economic policy of the player country could possibly affect the other(AI) countries.

I know that's whats weird and I can't figure out...

One thing is that capitalists don't build under state capitalism. I've had a national capitalist POP with £99999 cash reserves and with no empty factories in the state, yet it never built anything.

They are supposed to be able to, it says the base cost is 4x the one under laissez-faire. It's only under planned economy that they are supposed to be unable to.

Is it a good patch? Any other similar patches avaliable?

I thought you were playing 1.04.

The hot fixes talked about are for the Revolutions expansion, not 1.04. That would be a whole other set of hot fixes provided by OHgamer.

But, yes, both patches are excellent.

Great, thanks! I hope they work with VIP too ;)
I want to think that those patches are in VIP. Hmm. Senior moment. Let me check.
=============
From OHgamer's sig.

Vic:Rev 2.01 + VIP:R 0.3 + VIP:R 0.3 Hotfix 1 = Correct install order for VIP:R

This would imply that the hot fixes for Vic:Rev are in VIP.;)

One archive is a lot better to download than many! Yes!
I'l proceed with a new game as soon as I "beat" the vanilla Revs as France. I've got to! ;)

Just be sure to copy your installed vanilla game to a new location, most folks use the desktop, and then apply the VIP files to the copy and not the original. That way you can easily switch back to the vanilla game if you just want to or decide that VIP:R is just not your cup of tea. Also, don't try to play the vanilla Grand Campaign from the VIP copy. Strange things happen when you do that. You want to always pick the VIP campaign from the VIP installation.

Enjoy!

From what I understand I just need to copy the original game to the new location and apply the changes? Thanks for the advices, if you want to share a little more of my frustration, I made a thread about it ;)
