Our [unmodded] multiplayer group used to play 250+ years into games without [significant] problems. The last couple of patches though we've had problems completing any game without desyncs that grow much worse starting around 150 years into the game.

We tried playing smaller galaxies than before, lower / slower pop growth galaxy wide, fewer habitable planets, playing on lower speeds [slow or slowest], no Xeno compatbility, not watching "fights", not pausing and queueing a million actions, ...

Are there any in-game settings or play options that's recommended to lower the number of desyncs??

The only thing like that you might try is to make sure all players are using the same language in-game, preferably English.

If that doesn't help, and you are all on Steam, you will be using Steam MP servers. Next time you play have allplayers opt into the Cross Store MP option in our launcher, which uses the external Nakama MP service instead.

Good luck!

We are all English speakers, live in N.A. AND we're all Steam. We can try the Cross Store MP option [didn't know it existed] the next time.

Is there any documentation, thread, etc. on the Cross Store MP option / Nakama MP service which may prove useful to us?? I don't mind trying any other tips if you have them even if they're "semi-advanced" ...

I'm not sure what nature of documentation you are after? I certainly don't have anything.

They are a widely used service, you'll find info on them online I'd expect!

My friends got together last night for a new session with everyone on the Cross play store option and started getting Desyncs around year 2307 :(

Latest version, all English speakers w/ English version of the game, 2 live in GA and one in AZ.

Earlier I was running "no mods" but currently we're running the Kilo Structure Limit fix (?) mod along with the Better Ship Behaviors mod.

We can't help with modded games here, so please disable them all while we work on this.

Did you get actual OOS errors? If so was it always the one error code, or multiple different ones each time? Any OOS logs made in the host's installation?

In the last game we played it was fine the first 60 years and then I had a enormous number of "out of sync" errors .

We may try a game soon that is vanilla but as an FYI: the mods we're running are considered "bug fix mods" so we'll probably run vanilla once the underlying bugs that are the reason we're running the mods are resolved.

I'll post results back on the next vanilla game so I don't waste anyone's time.
