I'm using your mod, too. It's well done. I like especially the moved clock. ;)
Nice to read! But that's very little... I'll try to find enough time to release the biggest part of what I've done thus far. I'll keep you all informed! ;)

If you want to play AOD with the E3 map you'll have to download these files:

The E3 map v0.5 made by mumia :

E3Map v0.5 (6th April 2010.)
- compressed: 29,3 MB
- unpacked: 73,2 MB

Rapidshare: (6th April 2010.)
http://rapidshare.com/files/372721465/E3Map_v0.5.rar

Megaupload: (6th April 2010.)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HQOV1TDM

Speedyshare: (6th April 2010.)
http://www.speedyshare.com/files/21805404/E3Map_v0.5.rar

Sendspace: (6th April 2010.)
http://www.sendspace.pl/file/1b736e3cda1965290e33a3b

Still to do:
- terrain
- areas and regions
- IC and resources
- territorial claims
- some names on the map (font needs to be fixed)

The adapted 1936 scenario files:

AOD-1936scenario-E3v0.5c.rar

The adapted event files:

AOD-events-E3v0.5a.rar

The adapted revolters (plus minor fixes):

E3 map-fix1.rar

Add all files in this order. Drop the unpacked files directly into the db, db/events, map and the scenarios directory or use JSGME. For the installation of the files I recommend using JSGME which makes it quite easy to add all modified files. All downloads are JSGME-ready. ;)

Loading the game for the first time after the installation of the E3 map will take longer than usual. Don't be frustrated if it takes 5-10 minutes. The game needs this time to create a new navaldist.tbl. Afterwards any loading of the game is as quickly as before.

I will have a small task for you. I don't know if it's possible to do but I hope so. I'll post it this week in your thread. ;)

My thread? Which one? I don't have a thread of mine... yet ;)

I meant more precisely the 'Minor Graphics Mod Megathread'. ;)

I recommend you to wait until I finished the complete map with climate und terrain fixing, because I think, after fixing the complete csv your changes make more sense for first testpahses.
At the moment just europe without balkan, poland and russia is fixed. So, you can have the file but as I said, most of the file must to be changed. Specialy Russia will become more work than I tought.

Do you want to give us an update? ;)

Naaah, that one "belongs" to TeutonburgerW, I'm only a minor guest :) . But, I hope soon, I'll too have a thread where you'll be able to post (almost) whatever you want :p ;)

China needs the province Inner Mongolia, by using Chahar (please rename) as a base we can add 1207 1208 1272 1273 1382 1439 2337
Ninxia itself should only consist of 1274 and 2504

I have reconsidered my above proposal. Since Inner Mongolia is a modern chinese province which would be quite large in the game it's better to keep the vanilla/historical provinces. I.e.
Suiyuan-Ningxia with the provinces 1207 1208 1272 1273 1274 1439 2504 and Chahar with the provinces 1386 1388 1398 2246 2337. Although having 1382 in Heilongjiang area is not quite right it's acceptable...

Guest? OK, we have a saying here: 'modesty is a virtue'. ;)

I'm quite curious what you'll show us. I suspect it'll be more than a few icons... ;)

I think I know, I think I now... And you'll be might impressed if I remebered what it is correctly! :D
:)

Give me still a bit of time, I'm currently into the "boring" part of the work and, in addition, in the last months RL showed up with surprising effectiveness... ;)

Whatever you might be doing to surprise us, I hope that you'll use the E3 map. :)

Err, actually no :eek:o . I've done many cosmetic changes which aren't related with the map, though (apart from some icons that show on map, but that's definitely not the same).

That's a disappointment. :( Otherwise it's a hint that your new mod improves mainly technical aspects of the game...? ;)

Well... no. I've made especially icons and other interface graphics (working on it as we speak... err, write!).

Regarding the map: as a matter of fact I've modded a bit the countries' colours as well as the terrain colours; they look good, IMHO, but it's mainly a matter of personal taste (as for every other aspect of the game, now that you make me think of it).
