Given how old the mod is, and the latest features in the new mods, are there any plans to improve old features / incorporate new ideas besides the new map?

If there are any plans, can we make a suggestions thread (i.e. Religions Overhaul Ideas Thread)

We are about to release a compatible version.

Then of course there is a lot of potential to "modernize" the mod by doing a more thorough integration of new features. But that is very time-consuming and we lack fresh blood. I myself don't have time to code these days, and I was the one often fleshing new mechanics with lore-based content after better programmers do the compatibility patching.

Still, once the compatible version is released, I think we will see some such fleshing out of the new mechanics.

I'm assuming compatible with 2.7.X?

Yes compatible with 2.7.x

Lux is in dire need of some heavy handed refactoring, sure; but this is something we're not excessively keen on atm. If you offer a dozen pairs of helping hands, we could do miracles.

I can offer one pair of mildly assistive hands. I've already raised the burgher modifiers for Classical/Oriental religions as an issue, but that's not exactly a big fish - what stuff would you class as needing heavy refactoring?

Everything! Shoot me a PM and I'll give you an invite to the discord server
