Hi there,

does anybody in here have the skills to write a tool that can extract data from a bmp file and assemle them in a different order (and vice-versa)?

I mean, just take a look at the file tiles.bmp in the /map folder... the CK map art is in there - a scrambled array of 32x32 pixel tiles. If you rearrange them column-wise instead of row-wise (ouch! my English...) it becomes much more "readable". I think it would be nice to have a tool that rearranges the tiles automatically so that we can eliminate typos and such on the map - and convert it back to a modified tiles.bmp file that CK can use...

Regards

Just a little in-game screenshot to prove to you that map modding is possible this way (however it is a pain to locate the correct tile without that tool):

Note that Mecklenburg is the correct way of writing that name in German (default is Mecklemburg).
