Is there a trick or a requirement you have to have to load battle riders? I've got a carrier and riders in the same system. It's a cruiser carrier, destroyer level riders. I go to the rider screen, but when I drag riders over, they don't seem to 'stick' in the rider slots. I -was- able to do it with a different carrier in a different system, though. So I know it works. Sort of.

Yes and I forgot to report it. Glad you did. I was trying to load BR's on a Hiver BR tender and first one went no problem, drag and drop one in each of 3 bays. After that, I had to double click to fill the remaining two slots in the first bay, then click the hell out of the others to get them to do anything. That being said, I eventually got all 9 slots filled but it was a cluster to do so. Definitely needs attention.

I've successfully loaded Morrigi BR-Carrier dreadnoughts today on multiple occasions.

If your DN or CR mission section is BR Carrier and you can't get the proper response in the Battle Rider Manager, might want to report that on the kerberos page, along with details about your race and immersion/not immersion.

They'd probably want to see a copy of your save game to diagnose the problem.

[EDIT] If you're talking about Kingfisher modules, that's a different subject entirely.

Its really fixed? So maybe my saved game is horked. as described by original poster, I have a carrier and BRs in the same system.e carrier is a dn with a BR hanger on it. It is in a fleet. I actually have one of each of the 3 types of BR I could design (escort, patrol, intercept, iirc). In the.BR.screen, I can select my dn with BR bay, and it goes to the "carrier" section in the center, and shows the 2 windows, one for each of the BR modules the ship has. When I drag the riders over to a hanger/bay/module on the ship, they dont stick. I had though maybe only certain types of BRs can be carried, but same result with all 3 types.
This was as humans.

You need the "Scout" type of battlerider. There's a sensor tech you need to research, afraid I don't remember what it is. But that is the only type that will go in a Kingfisher module.

Maybe this is a necro-thread resurrection, but I just bought the game a few days ago and had this bug. So, what I am going to write may seem a bit overly detailed, but it is for the guy who isn't posting that needs to read this.

First, the instructions are VERY basic in the PDF instruction book for the game. You have to use a menu on a solar system to open up the BattleRider Managment screen at the left side of the screen, one of several buttons on the little diagram of your planetary system orbits (building ships is another button). This is provided that system built a few BattleRiders, and you have a fleet in that system that has a cruiser of bigger ship that is a BattleRider carrier.

You go to a screen that is almost as basic as a screen can get. On the right are your carriers, on the left your unused battleriders. You have to dig into the ship menus on the right and select a carrier. Go all the way until you are to a specific ship. When you get ship, then a bunch of slots magically appear in the middle of the screen.

You can drag and drop individual battleriders into slots, but that has been a bit buggy for me. It won't always load the riders. I found that just double clicking on the battleriders on the left auto-loads the ships, and does a better job than drag-and-drop.

Again, the fix I had for stubborn BR's is to double click them to get them on and off a carrier.

Now if we can get them to fix launching of Scout BRs so that they actually launch (at least for Sol Force) we will be set. As of today, you press launch and they just sit there in the hangar.

Actually they will launch for me, using regular Sol Force. I haven't tried lately with Sol Force Immersion which is what I usually play.

As a tip, I like putting a couple interceptor missiles on my Kingfisher BRs. They help thicken up my point defense.
