I'm going to wait to post my AAR for today's short session until we decide whether to continue on with the current game in the face of player attrition or regroup and start over. That being said, I'll leave a brief summary for anyone desperate for their weekly fix (if such a person does indeed exist).
The round began with Oka and Fas springing a surprise blitz on Saxony's Baltic territories. The Saxon duke, Magnus, beheaded his lawyers after they failed to convince the Russian horde that Magnus was guilty only of an incredibly loose interpretation of the allegedly broken agreement that was Fas's pretext for war. Magnus mobilized his forces and defeated the invading army on the fields of Danzig. He threw a massive celebration, only to discover the next morning that Rus still had 70,000 men available against his 15,000. There was much bantering of words between the 3 powers and finally a peace was arranged in which, well, nothing really changed. Many promises were made, but these all hinged on the quick death of Germany's seemingly-immortal king, Heinrich and the ever-doubtful ascension of Magnus to the throne. Meanwhile Ganso's heretic and impoverished (to the tune of negative 1000 gold) Duke of Leinster witnessed the implosion of his duchy and his banishment to Iberia. He decided his game was over soon afterwards. And that's where we stand after today's session. Exciting, no?
