We're still recruiting through the end of today Nostra. You should be able to get one of the smaller majors, we haven't finalized the nation selection just yet.
Right now, the players/nations are shaping up as:
1) GeneralSherman - Germany
2) Nicophorous - Japan
3) Maj Disaster - Sov Union
4) Altaris - UK (possibly playing both UK and USA, if # of players warrants it, but would prefer to have seperate players for each)
5) Wellsey - Undecided (possibly Italy or USA)
6) Hatuke - Will only play part of the time... if you join us Nostras, I'm thinking Hatuke might work well as a player for Nat China.
7) Nostras - Probably either Italy or USA, we'll iron out tomorrow after recruiting is finished.
I like that we're getting to 7 players, that makes for a good MP group. We're still up for additional players if anyone else is interested, it's always good to have some backup people in place!
(Side note: Depending on our turnout and what everyone wants to do, I may also be up for playing USA and Nat China, while turning UK over to someone else. I've got 2 computers I can run, and I'm just coming off of a game playing as Nat China in MP. This might work well... would give me something to do while USA was at peace, and Nat China's main goal is to last long enough for USA to enter the war anyway, after USA comes in, Japan's got other things to worry about than China.)

This would be my first Multiplayer Game even though i got 2 years singleplayer experience with various mods.

Fighting against Commies, Jap human and trying to survive until 42 or whenever USA is allowed to join........I am sooooooo definetly in. Nat China FTW.
Alright, looks like we've pretty much got our group finalized now (would be nice to have some backups/minors in place, but we've got a solid group formed up).

The site moderator (Jones) has to approve new activations, so may take up to 24 hrs before you get the activation back, but in the meantime, you will have read-only access to the forum.

It is Thursday morning now, I will be back in town and ready to play at noon EST on Monday, I think it is the 11th. I give Wishing_Well permission to take Japan from the start if he would desire to do so. I think he is the only one that I know so far of those that have posted.
Wellsey, have you read through the WarplanOrange posts yet? Wanted to make sure everyone was aware we are playing MEMARM 2.01 and felt good about their internet setup for playing MP (router configurations and all that good stuff).
Wishing_well, check out teh forum post at WarplanOrange (linked a few posts up), we'll continue the discussion from there. Would be glad to have you aboard as a minor for the first few days (3 days might be just about perfect for playing France until it's fall)

you want me to upload 2.02 - have a bit of free time so can work on it before you start..
With only a few days before our game, I'd rather just stick with 2.01 since all the posts have referenced it. Is there any glaring error that 2.01 fixes? If not, I think we'll be fine with 2.01.

hmm nothing really major - just that another mem group is starting on sunday so ill prolly release the patch anyways - small tweaks are always good. Currently there are 2 games I know if in 1943 and some issues crop up that need slight tweaking - but since most of you are new to the game I dont think it will matter. Youll decide.
If there is a human france in the game germany must be really good player and have some experience with combat mechanics. If germany needs some advice he can pm me.
Tarsus, if you're interested, join up on the WarplanOrange forum linked on one of the earlier posts. We'd be glad to have any extras on board, I think we've got the majors covered already, but we could definitely find a spot for you as a minor/potential back-up.
First session went well, played exactly 1 year to March 17th, 1939.
We played allowing wars before Danzig. Germany has annexed Denmark and Italy got Yugoslavia, Japan has annexed and puppeted China. Other than that, everything's gone along pretty historical lines.
No issues as of yet, though I must say playing as the UK that it's a constant balancing act during the 18 months leading up to Danzig!
I'll have more thoughts on it once the war proper breaks out.

Also, we had a low turnout from those who expressed interest. Only myself, GeneralSherman, Hatuke, Nostra, and Nicophorus actually showed up. It would be nice to fill the group out a bit, another 1-2 players would be great. Never heard anything back from Major Disaster or Wellsey, and Wishing_well was unable to attend. If any of you guys are still interested in playing, we've got spots open.
