If Aow 4, i do hope we get the old spell shenanigans from shadow magic of using buffs outside combat again. And please keep expanding spell casting into the hundreds thru buildings. Sure Aow3 allowed a sometimes spamming of whole stacks of phoenixes or black dragons but id like those gold dragons as summonables too...

Oh and lvl 4 back to cities. Draconians do need their dragon whether red or gold or whatever.

I really hope we'll get a spiritual successor to the Overlord series. Sure we can't get a proper Overlord game anymore due to IP rights and stuff, but the same kind of game in a new setting and with a new name would be so freaking awesome. Especiallty if they got Rhianna Pratchett to come back to do the writing.

You will never really run out of goblins after all they breed faster than fruitflies... even if they are even dumber than dwarves. The task being to dig ever deeper, defend the exterior swamp and survive what lives below. Making in effect something akin to digger or this war of mine, but almost all the resources are in the cellars.
But at least you can train goblins whether as butcherers, giant beetles, engineers etc.

I would like a new Overlord-like game, but a bit less platform'y-puzzle'y and more strategic. Maybe a bit like Mount & Blade: Warband, but more strategic gameplay + spells and artifacts of course.

Indeed! King Arthur got me into Total War games.

Anyway, I don't think it will be AOW4 just yet. Though I do imagine they are working on it already, but probably some years away, if I had to guess.

The project is on the pipes before Paradox acquired Triumph (first hint was a year and a half old), so it can't be some IP owned by Paradox.
