Keep on getting the "application has stopped working" error message. Does anyone know how to rectify this problem?

Application failure
I have this problem also - about every 15 mins. I have a new laptop with excellent capabilities, Windows Vista Premium and few other games, plenty of capacity. There is no data after the notice, simply that the application has failed and is no longer available. I have de-installed and re-installed in an attempt to overcome the problem - but still no go.
I need a solution.
Incidentally your German translations are not good - in the Declarations of War "Kriegserklärung" the countries were not tranlated into German!
