I am seeing Arab names for Bishops and muslim Grandmasters of the Temple etc.

Can we fix this in next patch possibly?

No way an Arab would ever be allowed in the Catholic church in the 12th century, let alone to hold a diocese. Likewise the knightly orders.

I presume the engine assumes local culture + religion = arab name/culture.

This just isn't realistic in practice however ..

Not sure if you are just talking about people with 'arab' culture who are catholic or about people with the 'muslim' religion

A Muslim Grandmaster is a known issue that already is fixed with events. He will never last long, an event will soon kill him

Courtiers take there names from the provinces they appear in, that is WAD so won't be fixed.

Hmm fair enough, I just find it unrealistic when you have a unique situation like the Kingdom of Jerusalem, where Catholic Franks and Occitans rule over Arabs. In fuedal tradition, as a ruling elite only, they would ensure that only their culture could hold offices. Just as in England with the Norman conquest.

In the game if you conquer muslim provinces and create bishophorics you often see muslim named and arab culture titular characters and 'country cousins' appearing. Sometimes, you get a Frankish character tile with an Arab surname and other freaky schenanigans.

If its WAD, fair enough. I just don't like it much. :)

Well it isn't as off as you think.
Every time people (aka. nobles) came from western europe and arrived in the kingdom of jerusalem, they found the frankish nobles there horribly "heathen". (i.e. they had adopted more sensible dress, and might even *gasp* wash *gasp*)
