Ardania expansion not loading

I have the dvd version of majesty 2. I just purchased the ardania expansion from impulse. It seemed to install ok though i had to help it find the folder. It added some localization folders but did not modify any of the game files, The game comes up in its original version.
Any ideas? Am I trying something that strange?

Update.

Ive now found the 1.3 update(not on the majesty2 web site. Ive installed that and now get a popup to choose beteen the main game and the expansion. When I try to start the campaign however I get an error:
CampaignGraph::GetCampaign():
Campaign 'Campaign_Exp_02' not found (\CampaignsManager.cpp 495)

Ok solved

turns out there is a 1.4.356 patch that solved the problem though i see no mention of it here... or of course on the majesty 2 site. Pretty lame I have to say.... not to mention that the expansion didnt update the game automatically.
