Question to admins

Sooner or later, someone will start building a WW1 mod for AoD. Just wanted to know if talking about gas weapons will be allowed in such cases.

Please, only answer if you are an admin. The subject is whether or not it is allowed, not whether or not it should be allowed.

I'm not an admin, but it was allowed for the WWI mod for HoI2, so I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed for AoD.

In Victoria they use... Why not in AoD?

I think the important thing would be to refrain from describing the effects in too much detail, and to refrain from targeting certain segments of the population with such weapons. If for example you happen to mention that the enemy launched a gas attack against your men in the trenches, I doubt you would stir much controversy. However if you went into gruesome detail, or discussed the use of such weapons against civilians, I suspect you would quickly be shut down. I am not a mod or anything even resembling one, this is just my personal opinion.

I think, that it shouldn't be more controversial than nukes :p
BTW The finest way it may work would be IMO like artillery bombardment works, although this element isn't probably modable. On the other hand many combat actions are accessed through techs, so why don't we press the devs to introduce such an option in future patch ? :)
