Bought the game on steam yesterday.

I did tutorial 1 yesterday and it worked, but when trying to start tutorial #2 today the game just crashes to desktop.

Running on windows 7
6GB ram
2 x nvidia 7800GTX (NOT in SLI)

What gives? You'd think they'd warn you that the game cannot be played on anything but win XP on the god damn steam page..

Any help would be appreciated.

Is the game installed outside the programfiles folder?

have you renamed the avi folder?

I'm not absolute sure that all the tutorials work, because they where made for HOI2 and not arma. Try and play the game and see what happens.

Its installed in a folder named program files but on a different drive than the default one.

I tried renaming the avi folder but then the game pops up an error stating that it couldn't initialize video.
