I've been playing Armageddon (From the Anthology) for years now, and have never had this issue, and now it won't go away.
Basically ever since I've installed 1.2, the game boots up normally and without issue; the version no. on the top right of the main screen of the game tells me that it's ver. 1.2. It lets me choose my scenario just fine, but when I pick my nation and click on "Start Game", the screen goes blank, and I get a popup telling me the program has shut down, and the game application ends.
To try and fix this I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game itself numerous times, I've tried different game directories (from program files to just a "games" directory in the root of my C
, I've installed the 1.2 patch to an arbitrary folder, and manually patched all of the files by hand, all with the same effect. I'm using the same "inclusive" 1.2 patch for Armageddon and Doomsday posted on the sticky on the forums here.
That's all the relevant information I can think of to post, any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
