armagedon version not upgrading

I have Anthalogy and I'm trying to upgrade my Armagedon version to 1.2 with the patch. So far when I enter the game the version remains 1.1. There does not appear to be any problems in installation. By the way, I am using windows VISTA.

You have to be careful about where the patch gets installed, the installer wants to (or used to want to) put the patch in a Doomsday/Armageddon folder which doesn't exist if you have the Anthology. You want the patch to go straight to the Armageddon folder.

I changed the installation directory to "C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Armageddon" and deleted the "doomsday" folder created by the patch, but I am still not seeing my version of armageddon change to 1.2...

I found this thread , maybe it can help.

Most important step:
When installing the 1.2 patch for Armageddon, it wants to default to a directory location that won't work.
1. Hit "Browse" and then find your Armageddon sub-directory under Paradox.
2. It will close that window and then take you back to the previous screen. Notice that there is still a X:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Armageddon\Doomsday text entry there.
3. Manually delete the bolded text from line 2 above so that the patch will install to X:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Armageddon.

The patch will now properly overwrite the subdirectories in Armageddon that it needs to in order update the existing files.
This worked for me- the program starts up as v1.2 of Armageddon now and all is right with the world of HOI2.

Thank you very much! I suceeded. I uninstalled doomsday and armageddon, then after installing armageddon only your advice worked pefectly.
