Army Recruitment questions

I'm just curious (as I don't have the game yet)....

How does army recruitment affect the population of the province you're recruiting in, do the 10000 men you recruit magically appear out of nowhere (a la civilization) or can you recruit 8000 men from a 10000 province (also a little suspicious about that).

Province population shown is the city population of the province capital.


You can only recruit a maximum in a province depening on its size.

Ahem Johan I thought it was depending on tax income...so it could be that in a small, rich province you can recruit more than in a big poor one.

just because the peovince is smaller than others doesn't mean that its' population is lower. and richer provinces tend to attract people more than poor ones. at least this is what I think.

when i was talking about 'big' and 'small' it was not in a matter of size but by means of population (just to clarify my post)
