Talk about D-Day. This is in my Nepal AAR, no editing, no modding, nothing.

Normandy in the north (UK, US, South Africa, Canada)
Spain from the south (UK, Iraq, South Africa, Philippines)
Italy from the southeast (US)
And of course Russia from the east.

There must be 50 Allied divisions (not counting Russia) in Europe right now.

I have never seen anything quite like this before. Maybe the Ai finally got the picture?

Not unless my computer was possesed or something. I'm playing as Nepal, and the western Allies are rolling up the Germanbs. France just had the 'Vive la France event' a few weeks later.

Russia, isn't doing quite as well. They kinda stalled around Poland, except for a lone spearhead which got itself cutoff.

SyhoNurse, Steele already said that this WAS from his Nepal AAR. Maybe you should add it to that

merge it with superheros post about embedded problems with HoIs coding....!

This was really intended to go in the general forum, to show people that D-Day type invasions do happen on occaision.

I don't have plans to write anymore about this, but if you want to merge it with my Nepalese AAR, I wouldn't mind.

HAHA!!! i know what you did!

you loaded up all the different countries, uk for example. then quickly launched this invasion of spain. after you had a good amount of troops and convoys etc. you then loaded the US and then you invaded italy with them! finally you had the brits invade northern france! then you disarmed 80% of the germans on the eastern front! so the soviets were allowed to win!

If that were the case, I would have probably managed to have the Allies get much more territory than the Soviets, the war would have ended long before it did, and I wouldn't have told everyone that I did not edit anything.

If you don't believe me, that is your perogative. I did not edit, cheat, mod, tweak, or otherwise change the game in any way.

just look at your map steele, i have never had that in all my life. then again my last 10 games have CTD'd before 1940 so......

i believe you but i just have a hard time accepting the fact that you didnt get your ass kicked like i have so many times
 
I was playing as Nepal. It was essentially a hands-off game, except in the far east.

I was also not playing on the harder difficulty levels; I used normal/normal, as far as I can remember.

Up until this picture was taken, it was mostly a handsoff game, except in Europe. But good point.

I think it's very sad that people are accusing Steele of fraud in this matter, as someone who has player the RTW (CORE) Scenario about 250 times, I can say with a fair degree of certainty that sometimes, just sometimes this sort of thing happens. I've seen the USA invade via Lille, via Italy, via Marseilles and once via a Canadian beachhead in Northern Germany, usually supported by 40 odd British and commonwealth divisions, and whilst it doesn't happen a lot, if the USA are involved it tends to happen a least one in every 4 games I play.
 
Steele, I envy you. I'd wish that something like that would happen to me. Sigh.

Even Albania is still around in 43. :wacko:
