Asking for money at peace negotiations

I hardly ever ask for money in exchange for peace. Why?
Because there's no gurantee you'll get your money. I can ask for 1000 ducats, get 46, and my enemy just gets away with it!

So... Am I missing something? Is there any way I can check weather they can pay me?

Oh, by the way:
I like to music in this game. Classic, quiet, unobtrusive. That's what I used to like about it. Then, all of a sudden, as the game progressed past a certin year, a new soundtrack appeared. I can't quite describe it... I'd say it's African style. I very very different varation of the orginal track. Is there any way I can delete this annoying track?

Ask for peace on Jan 1. It's hit or miss after that.

I think they should take a loan to cover the 250D personally, if they accept that figure.

To answer your first quetion...

The dev. team for EU had to make a patch because they noticed that minor countries could be taken advantage of for extorting money. Example..Austria attacks & occupies Thurnigen. In peace neg.since Austria occupies all of Thurnigen Austria could ask for a Bunch of money , and IIRC Thurnigen would take loans to pay 500-1500d in addemnities. Kinda like a cash cow..not really all that fair. So this is why you only get what they have in the bank , and no more.

When game starts pull out cd , and throw in Pantera-Far Beyond Driven...if this dosen't get the rage going to kick some ass , and motivate....hmm...I don't know what would .
