Ok so I was importing my object time after time adjusting my colors and stuff. Then I started checking it out in game and everything was good my object was staying flat on the ground. Then out of no where without editing the FBX files or any textured pngs It decided to start Importing at a tiny slant as you can see below. Now it doesn't matter if I move any axis around turn off bottom-ceter pivot, it will not fix itself. I tried saving a new fbx file with Z axis up and that did not help.. I tried tilting my object in 3ds max to counter the tilt but even that is just a bandaid fix. I would like to know the root of the problem.

I believe this started happening after editing the options in my last saved asset when I adjusted height settings in the little panel when your saving your asset, with the noise radius and stuff. I tried saving another one with adjusting those settings but nothing. I don't see how that would be causing the issue anyways.

Does anyone know what could possibly be happening? Thanks

Ok so I decided to test it further, I literally rotated my object up by almost 90 degrees to see what would happen and repackaged the fbx file. The Asset Editor literally is not reading any type of coordinates. It still shows up at the tiny slant and is not taking into account the new angles I just entered. What the hell.

What program are you using? If it's blender, make sure you apply rotation and location before exporting.

I'm using 3DS Max, and rotating does nothing at the moment, I tried rotating it in 3ds max to counter the slant and nothing moves in the asset editor. It's like its not even reading my changes.

Ran into this problem as well about 5 days ago. Everything worked correctly, but one day I installed about 5 mods, and played for a bit. When I went back and imported new tweeks to same 2 models working correctly before, they now load in laying flat on the ground. every model does not. I even removed all mods, rebooted and even reinstalled, but stays the same.

Lest my problem is not on an odd angle though, Yet..... :)
