I have checked each mod and find that CTD may be mrelated to this mod.And CTD only occurs when using the mouse middle button to move the vision.If I do nothing with the vision , even if the game simulation is running, CTD would not occur.Instead, if I move the vision, even the simulation is paused, CTD must occur within 10 minutes.It seems that CTD is related to rendering, not simulation.

When this particular CTD occurred, I was trying to plop a building using Find It.
I think the issue is with plop the growables and find it, disabling both mods has stopped the random crashes for me.
correction, the issue is with this mod, plop the growables and find it work fine with this mod disabled. Hope we get a fix, this mod helps a great deal :)

I noticed the same. Middle mouse button click to rotate the view angle and the game crashes.

I also had crashes to desktop when this mod was enabled. I saved the player.log file. If you still need logs, please tell me where to send it.

What puzzles me a fair bit is this: if the issue was with how the icons are loaded, it'd crash always and right away when opening a menu.
But this doesn't happen. However, the crash more often than not happened either when using the picker from find it or shortly after.
And while most often using picker caused a crash, this is not a consistent behavior. Same goes for spinning the camera to quickly.
Now, I tested the picker without AIL enabled and didn't get any crashes, hence why I suspect the root cause with this mod.

I also checked if I ran out of VRAM or something similar, but no such easy answer.
Given how hard the game crashes, I'd assume it must be an unhandled exception.

Within your mod.cs file you set SetShowsErrorsInUI to false. Is there a way to a) change that to true without recompiling the mod and b) would it be possible to disable all calls to the logger in general? The later is a thought as logging might cause a null exception, causing a hard crash.

I'd argue it must be either something in logging or how icons are loaded under special circumstances and would lean to the former. This is but a guess, however.
 
Hey, TDW. I just wanted to share that even after today's update, I am still receiving the central directory error upon game start.

I've been crashing every 5-10mins the last 15 times I tried to play. I read about the middle mouse button idea here and tried it. Just played for 40mins without using it rotate, no crash.

Is the middle mouse button problem only if you are using the Asset Icon Library? Or the game in general?
 
im the person who posted on reddit about this. I took a day and looked into random crashing to desktop. Its 100% asset icon library if you are not using other broken mods. I was about to enable it as its hard to use buildings from the im reading there isnt a fix yet even after the update.

For what its worth looking into my logs, zoning by law and zone color changer was causing error with the UI. im not sure if it was a conflict with asset icon library or just broke on their own.

i agree. been playing for two days now without this mod. no crash at all.
