I know you say that off-topic threads will be locked, but what else is there to talk about regarding CK other than where is it?

Ok, so maybe thats an exaggeration, there are a couple minor things to discuss, but the lack of true discussion on the board shows there isn't a whole lot to talk about. While it may get boring and repetitive to ask for screenshots or ask about release dates and complain about the seemingly slow progress, at least its discussion of the game. I think it just shows how much people really like the basic concept of the game and really want to play it. I'd be more worried if people weren't complaining about it taking forever or the lack of any information whatsoever coming out because that would just mean no one cared.

That said, I really like the idea behind the game and think itsgoing to be a big success whenever its released so:


We want more screenshots!
We want more updates!
We want more, more, more!

I think we will get more, but not now. At this time, Victoria has gone gold and will hit the shops. So naturally Paradox want the attention focused on Victoria and not on another game.

I also think that this is the best time for us to discuss CK. Because there are betatesters, and this is the best time to influence them with idea's and opinions. Not that everything will be implemented, but good idea's will be picked up by the betatesters and put in the game.

Of course, it's hard to discuss when you don't really know if the idea you're talking about is already included in the game or not....

But anyway, I'm not sure if it's still the case, but it was said quite a while ago that the beta was only going to be for game balance and bug-killing, and that all the feature to be released would already be implemented. That wouldn't leave much of a point to discussing new features, now would it? ;)

Well since the design teams are totally distinct I don't see why that absolves them from giving us anything at all to chew on.
 
I think what he means is that CK is developed by Snowball, and not Paradox.:)
 
From some hints on this board, it seems that Paradox took over the whole project....or am I wrong?
 
roachclip76, you want more? Well, now that vicky "has gone", Paradox can concentrate more on CK, thus be ready for some news soon...
 
I heard that there was one a beta led by Snowball, but I didn't check if it's true. Now Paradox is leading the beta.

Again, from what I understand, it's just a rumor. Of course, nearly everything is "just a rumor" when we are given so little information here.... ;)

I believe Sergei said something about a limited, in house beta of the Russian translation, done by members of their own forum.

Yeah, I remember hearing something about that at one point in time - but then I also remember hearing official denials of that at a later time. It's all so confusing! :wacko:
 
There've also been some CK sightings over Tuscaloosa and a purported Project Blue Book type investigation by the US government, but so far everybody I've talked to who operates in any sort of official capacity has chalked the whole thing up to the light from Venus refracting through pockets of stratospheric swamp gas and weather balloons.

Dark Knight, but Victoria has already gone gold. You are saying that already some improvements are made to the GOLD version, that will be included into the first patch, or you are not refering to Vicky at all as a second project (besides CK).

I think that they are working on Vic patches already as the game will definately have bugs.. - its just too complex not to have any..
