I've built my first Excort Fighter unit as Germany, 1939. It won't let me attach it to any squadrons. This has to be a bug, right? I can't remember which file to look in to see what brigades can be attached to which units. Any help is appreciated.

We really should sticky those things... :rolleyes:

Known issue for 0.25, easily fixed. See http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=272809 for starters.

The only problem is that nobody reads Stickied threads as shown daily in the main HoI2 forum... ;) But true, sticky would be nice for all those things you said.
 
Sorry for the repetition. And i WOULD read a sticky titled CORE FAQ! Thanks for your help

Your signature FAQ is useful for the tech trees.

Often Hagar posts the Forum links to solved topics. The lacking paradox search function leads to repeated questions. A small stickied FAQ would make it easier to collect good answers to general known topics.

It would be easy (am willing to) to answer newby questions by "look at the FAQ". In forums with good FAQs a lot of repetition is avoided. And the hints (look in the FAQ) are taken.

FAQs/Stickies are very good to look for interesting knowledge (e.g. changed escorts for my current game and renaming Hawaii to Pearl Harbour) and basic information.

I'm willing to do it, sure. What's the easiest way to get them? Just PM one of the moderators, or have JRaup or Kevin use their 'inside track'?

Got an answer too, though not the one I was hoping for. Apparently no admin rights are granted for mod subforums... :(
