Warhammer 40k based game :D

and Marneus "Augustus" Calgar IS a major character in warhammer 40k universe

That won't be a good idea from a business perspective. Warhammer Total War will come out soon, and even though many people like me who don't like fantasy won't buy it, it will still be a big game and capture most of the market.

Remember, Paradox released Sengoku around the same time as Shogun 2. The latter turned out to be a brilliant game and captured all the market. This bad release timing, even though the game had huge potential, caused Sengoku to fail and Paradox to simply abandon it (just like many of their half-heartedly developed titles).

Yes, but THIS is not likely to come out soon. Not saying I want to see a Warhammer game from PDox, but anything coming out soon won't affect this at all.

I don't even know what the heck this 'Warhammer' thing is. So far it seems to me that it is a fantasy, a genre I don't care one bit about. I won't even bother touching or reading about a Warhammer game if they made one, just as I am not going to bother about Total War Warhammer, the first main TW game I am avoiding.

Blandness?
Clearly, you must not know much about Warhammer.

Not that it matters anyway, this game is surely not Warhammer. Paradox doesn't have the license to it and those universes are mainly focused on warfare rather than economics and diplomacy. They don't really fit Paradox formula anyway. That's more RTS territory, like Dawn of War.

Oh, and people please: stop with these poor rants against Fantasy. I have seen enough mindless rage from history fanatics elsewhere on the internet when Total War: Warhammer was announced, there's no need to spread their bigoted arguments over here. They have already made a splendid job at making a joke out of themselves.

Especially considering that three of the most popular mods for CK2 are, you guessed it, Game of Thrones, the Warhammer mod, and spaaaaace.

Space is not one of the most popular mods. Warhammer, Game of Thrones, Elder Kings and Lord of the Rings are though.

Probably, I'm just going by the Workshop which says that COTC is in the top 25 most subbed mods, which doesn't include the forum downloads. :/

Yeah, because anyone who doesn't care to buy a game full of flying horses, fugly monsters, strange multiheaded beasts and winged humans with weird armours, automatically becomes a bigot and has made a splendid joke out of himself.

I do love fantasy in anime/manga, I don't hate fantasy in movies/TV shows...but fantasy games...sigh...

Yes, sure buddy. You just don't care.
You don't care so much that you felt the need to make a rant about how you're not even going to touch or look at the filthy Fantasy thing you don't even know what it is.
But again, what can I expect from history fanatics?

Lol again, just because anyone who replies to a spam of speculations preaching about fantasy he automatically becomes a history fanatic and immediately stops 'knowing what fantasy even is' despite having watched a lot of it.

Sigh, cannot argue with fairytale people.

But yeah, I just don't care if it is fantasy, I'll skip and keep waiting for a reasonable game that suits my taste.
