With mike gone for a week or more and Gunny possibly for a while too would any of you guys be interested in playing some shorter campaigns this week?
I'm a good enough host for up to 6 players. We could do something a bit different like play all South Americans and fight it out or something along those lines.
How does this sound. Fascists: Argentina, Peru, Venezula vs Democrats Chile, Columbia vs Communists Brazil.
Same dynamic as the normal game with Brazil playing the role of the Soviet Union, ie does not ally with Columbia and Chile but does war against the Fascists. We can put a no go zone at the Panama canal and the west indies restricting the action solely to the South Am continent and surrounding seas. Nobody can ally anyone other then those I mentioned above keeping us out of the main wars in europe.
Argentina has 25 IC and the largest starting army and navy whilst Peru and Ven are smaller but have large resources particularly Ven.
Chile and Columbia are weak and will be hard pressed to keep off an Argentinian attack. But both are mountainous which should help.
Brazil has 35 IC but no starting army.
My suggestion is for a 36 start with a earliest dow date of maybe 1938 or 39. That should give the democrats enough time to build up. We could make it that fascists must dow Brazil exactly 12 months after they dow Democrats.
I am free most nights of the week and if we start soon we could finish this game in about 2 weeks. So roughly when mike and hopefully gunny will be back.
