Aussie MP Problems

My friend and I in Sydney are unable to connect for a MP session of doomsday. We both have the same version and he can see my game on Valykrienet, but he is unable to join it.

His Setup: TPG ADSL2 Modem Belkin, XP with SP2
Me: Optus ADSL2 Speedstream Modem, Vista With SP1

We have both tried opening relevant ports on our modems and turning off all firewalls, but nothing helps.

Does anyone have any ideas, thanks :wacko:

What version of the game do you play, checkstrum VLBV?

An Aussie group play Hoi games playes regularly on Tues & Thurs 8pm and Monday & Sunday 7pm.

May I suggest you turn up in Vnet and try a hook up with one of the Aussie guys that can host. Then you can at least find if its one or both of you. I can join anygame with my router hooked up but must connect direct to my Optus cable to host games.

Did you add hoi2.exe into your exceptions list.?
