Or at least partially susceptible. I am loving the game, but now I'm disabling victory by avatar because it just isn't fun. Without banes, defeating an avatar is nothing more than a mind-numbing contest to deal as much damage as possible before the bloody thing heals itself or kills you.
Maybe banes could have a chance of failure when used on an avatar. Maybe the effect could be dampened (stun duration reduced, weakness percentage halved, etc). Both could also work. I'd just like to see conflicts with avatars be more interesting.

Avatars have been far too easy in all of the games I've spawned them. Once you surround it, it will just guard and not even bother to attack you. You can summon endless wolves or zombies to reduce its damage to almost nothing while pelting it with ranged units. Way way too easy imo. At least Dremargor has managed to kill my units before with his ~60 spirit AOE attack if I'm not careful... They need to give avatars a teleporting skill or something...

Hello,

can someone explain in detail how a avatar will be summoned? I thought it's all enough to have 100 favor points of any god, then the opposite site will summon it's avatar. But I got this situation very often, but never seen an avatar. Should I do something more when I got 100 points favor by a god?

Thanks!

@brxbrx: What are the attack strengths of the avatar?

Usally, the opposite god of your favored god only has 99 dislike. so what i used to do is to build 10temples to a god, (gives 100 like) then destroy all of them (gives 100 dislike). in my game, the avatar didn't spawn then. but many, many turns later he suddenly spawned. so just bring a god to 100 dislike and wait...

Try to save your best units (lords, temple), don't play in meat-grinder. This game is about quality, not quantity. Bless them and in late game you will receive high level TERMINATORS.
Avatars need a buff... they are too easy.
