Back from a long break!

Hey folks I am back from a long break in not just HoI but gaming in general. I was thinking about getting back into HoI 2 and was wondering if the community is still pretty solid.

Have most HoI fans moved onto HoI 3 and abandoned HoI 2 or is HoI 2 still the knight in shining armor?

After giving a look over the HoI 3 forum it seems to be riddled with complaints and bugs. This is especially disappointing as I thought HoI 2 seemed pretty rock solid!!

If you liked HoI2, then abandon 3 because it's somehting completely different.

You may want to refresh yourself on Doomsday/Arma,
then I suggest you try out the new "Iron Cross" version (like an expansion or extended mod) for Arma,
perhaps the (still unpolished) Arsenal of Democracy,
then the "Iron Cross" over Arsenal of Democracy,
until time becomes ripe for the "Darkest Hour" version of HoI 2.

Now that's the same knight in lots of different shining armors, right?!?!

i still play Armageddon, the latest patches and the hotfix in the sticky really makes it the best wargame I've played.
