Lord D. Andrews:
I myself have experienced that before, and what I did to remedy that situation was use multiple save points, reverting to my earlier save if my computer should crash. But I've been witnessing an even more peculiar situation. After a great session of Crusader Kings, as I clicked the exit button, my computer would crash, displaying a BSOD saying there was an error 0000xa..., and then proceeding to restart. This was rather irking, and I decided to live with it, as I had never experience this problem before, and the only new piece of hardware was my new GeForce FX 5500 graphics card. This kept on for a while, then out of the blue, when I would try to load my save files, the BSOD would appear, rebooting my rig. Now, I can't even load a new game, because I get the same screen. I know it's a software issue, as I've played many games to experiment and none have experienced this problem. I even uninstalled the game, defrag'd the HDD and re-installed, including the 1.04a patch. I now cannot enjoy my favorite game, and am very distraught to say the least. If anyone can help me, I'd sincerely appreciate it. For the record, I am using Direct X 9 series drivers, instead of the Direct X 8 the game recommends. Could this be the source of my misery?
