hey,

I wonder what events and missions tied to being catholic are there for spain/castille. I looked thorugh the wiki and know they exist, but I dont really know what the modifiers listed do, so: what do you get for staying catholic? In particular for colonization:D thx a lot

Catholic Monopoly for a colonial region if you are the first catholic to create an colonial nation in the colonial region.

You get the decision to Institute the Societas Jesu, giving you missionary strength and papal influence. If you Ctrl-F "catholic" on the Wiki page (https://eu4.paradoxwikis.com/Spanish_events), you should find religion-specific events pretty quick.

You also get papal influence for converting provinces, so conquering land in Africa and India can give you quite a boost to that. Unless you have trouble keeping your religious unity up, I think it's well worth converting Trade Company land before assigning it as a Catholic.

Thx. It is for a MP game, so I probably still convert and to hell with the papal influence and conversion strength:D Fighting boni are more important than those in MP
