So I found a bug with respeccing and spell slots. Not sure how to get around it.
So (I think this is how to reproduce the bug...) if you respec a character that had the Leadership talent "Arbiter of Knowledge" (2 extra spell slots), which refunds all talent points of course, and then you respec back into Arbiter of Knowledge, everyone in your party will get 2 permanent, unchangeable spells which still take up spell slots even if you remove all spells from that person. I'm not sure which spell it is, but I think it's either the first 2 or last 2 (off-by-1 errors, fellow programmers? sigh). So for example I've respecced a couple times and stripped Lantry of all spells and he still has 4 fucking spells on his spell menu (which are not removable and which I cannot free up for spots NOR can I upgrade them as they only show up in the quick-cast menu). The worst aspect of this is that those spells are permanently equipped, permanently take up spell slots in a fight, and cannot be upgraded. I am now in the endgame and completely gimped because of this.
If anyone knows a way around this bug (up to and including editing the damn save file), please let me know.
What I think the bug is: Whoever wrote the code that refunds talent points forgot to clear everyone's spell lists if you were specced into Arbiter of Knowledge (I'm far happier simply re-slotting everyone's spells, cost of doing business let's say, than losing fucking spell slots!!)
Steps to reproduce:
1) Spec into Arbiter of Knowledge
2) Fill everyone's spell slots
3) Refund all talent points (fatebinder cesper)
4) Spec back into Arbiter of Knowledge
5) Try to clear one character's spells on the spell sheet
6) Now look at that character's spell menu... there's still spells there!!!
