You can also check this website as well. Under "Galleries" you have a lot of indo-greek, kushan and some indo-scythian and white hun coins (and from other eras as well), with small descriptions on what's on what face.

That's where I got the idea to use a fire altar for the Hephthalites, it was on all of their coins.

I realised it was so, I imagined you must have had stumbled upon the same pattern of fire altars.

New Indian flags, everyone!

Explanations:

It's a combination of traditional art from dynasties in each region, coinage art and my own discretion. The names are also some proposals of mine for better names for the region or for Hellenistic versions that I found while reading Megasthenes and the book "The Greeks in Bactria and India" by William W. Tarn. Some are my own invention, like Marasthene (following the pattern Surasthra > Syrastene), or like Magadha/Bihar > Sandrocotta, this being the name the Greeks gave to Chandragupta Maurya; his name has become the name of the land for the Greeks).

Parthia and Armenia also included, based on their dragon-banners (Parthia) and the old Artaxiad flag (Armenia).

As a bonus, there's also my proposal for a flag of the Chinese Hellenistic dynasty: the Yan Dynasty (The Chinese might have referred to the Greeks as Yuan, but the Yuan dynasty is already taken by, who else, the Mongols.

Nice! My personal favourite is the Empire of Rajastan.... Is that a lion wearing an elephant scalp? xD

The setup for India is subject to change though: I forgot that I should have given you a list of the new setup for the eastern expansion, sorry. Anyway, many of these can be repurposed since the kingdom setup is similar in India, the empire one is quite different, 2 empires: ultra-Hellenized Indian Empire, led by a descendant of Epander, and the Tamil Chola Empire. Serindia is now instead a Central Asian empire (as is proper) led by... someone I'm not that I'm quite sure if he descends from Antiochus III. There are a whole lot of central Asian kingdoms (more than in my temporal expansion), not counting Tibet. I'll have a list soon.

EDIT:
Forget about the list, I'll send you the version of the eastern expansion Futuregary sent me so you can look at it yourself. Trust me, it's going to be faster this way.

Thanks. But pity the new setup... although I get it, since the old one was a mess. I'll have to repurpose some of them, but it won't be a big deal (if I have the game version you said). Send it, send it! t's way faster that way, aye.

Serindia as a limit-map empire was not a bad choice, but having India, yes, it should be an empire based around Bactria. Which means, I'll change the flag a bit. But I can see, a sun for Hellenised India and tigers for the Chola Empire.

Still, I think there should be a way to recreate the Maurya Empire based on Magadha and Bengal.

Take care!

AFAIK, in the eastern expansion, India is the Indo-Hellen empire. I'm just guessing here, but I think that Serindia now covers a great part of what would be the Kushans... but I wouldn't count it as a Kushan empire. I'm guessing they'll get their own cultural titular empire.

Ok, after seeing Futuregary's new map, I'm confused about the flags I presented. Theymust be rearanged but I don't know how, given the new religious layout... and I had grown fond of them. The Rajasthan one I liked particularly, I think I'll use it as the whole Empire of India.

I've noticed Serindia is mainly buddhist, but Sindhia is mainly Hellenic-Hindu. No Buddha in Sindhia then, but something else must be provided. I'll work on it.

Would be nice to see a new Celtic Impire flag ( if there is not already one, I don't remember :p )

Hmmm, a hard one, given the high fantasy stuff of this one... But Robert Bruce did try to call on the Irish and the Welsh for his war against the English, given that they shared a common ancestry and relationship, as well as a "consonance of languages". This was the late XIIIth Century, which means the idea of a "Celtic nation", "Celtica gens" or "Brittanica Gens" was established and survived well into the Middle Ages.

I'll give it a try.

We need a flag for d_tamil_band.
