I've been having fun with a small idea for a while and now that it's somehow functioning I decided to show it to everyone.

If I had time right now I'd make up a great backstory for the mod but as I'm in a little rush (and thus can spend time writing useless stuff like this yes..) I'll just keep everything simple.

You are a Roman colony in the middle of Germania and suddenly the germans, barbarians, stop liking you and start launching attacks on you. The year is 1400 AVC and you've been promised to be let out in 1500 so you have to survive the barbarian waves for hundred years.

When it's fully completed (I'll maybe add two or three difficulty levels and make it more difficult towards the end) and has all localisation and such (it's lacking the most of them now) I'll give this away to anyone who wants to add this to his own mod. I originally designed it to be a single extra bookmark in my own mod but I think there will be some adjusting for anyone who includes this to his own game because now I've been working on it as whole own project and I emptied the whole map so there is no distraction from other countries.
Basically the mod isn't much more than a stash of events and timers that launch barbarians and (sometimes) help you.

Here is some screenshots (the dates aren't correct as I just triggered the events with console instead of playing for a couple of years):

The survivor government:

Let the game begin...

The first wave of barbarians:

And the event effects:

Then we are ready to rumble! (TBH not the actual barbarians that are triggered by that event but in the same provinces..)

I'd be glad to hear a few opinions, I'll upload it somewhere so people can try it "as is".

PS. I've never had my own name in the events as many times as I have here...

DOWNLOAD THE MOD!
Now that it's possible

The first released version (6/6/12):

I must give a word of warning for people, I've a bit underestimated the barbarians. Currently my record is surviving 3 years or something and I just added more and more events for spawns... Well, that is exactly why I put it here for testing, all opinions and comments are welcome :p

Interesting idea, Wave, I'll have to give it a try sometime and let you know what I think!
