Let me start by saying I love this game, I only got it via the game pass on Xbox in 2022, and then finally purchased the game and all available DLC (via the expansion pass deals) in the May of that year so you can say my rise to Stellaris addiction was fast but this new update has rendered it virtually unplayable; it crashes constantly and I first I thought it was my Xbox (it’s an old Xbox one) but having come on here I’ve thankfully been informed it’s not just me. You can’t open the expansion planner without pausing the game otherwise: crash back to the Xbox home menu. You can’t play any of the new origins (and two of them are great [TotS and Sub]) because it just crashes after about 80 years (game time obviously). I don’t know if this is a bug or that’s how it’s supposed to be now but if you have a spiritualist expire you start with two temples and a science lab - I know they’ve reworked what the administrator office does in the sense it no longer gives you admin capacity which reduced your penalties for having a big empire but it always strikes me as strange. Alloys seem harder to come by. And don’t get me started on the still brokenness of Federations, other species still don’t use an envoy and still block your path to growth so eventually your left with little to no room to grow. The vassal system does t work properly - if a species is a bulwark it should by definition be strong militarily. It usually isn’t. I had a game (for what I could actually play if it) where my bulwark vassal got declared war on twice and I had to use my best fleets to defend them. I think they were former vassals (when you build an observation post) because they declared the war was for independence against me when I was nothing to do with them - if that is true I should be able to negotiate terms with them like you do with vassals you create.
