Crashes after "Made with Unity" logo during startup

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I've tried booting up the game multiple times, but after the "Made with Unity" logo disappears, a mech head appears, then the game crashes every time I try. My anti-virus is off, I re-validated files via Steam, and I've tried rebooting Steam.

UPDATE: Tried deleting .exe and redownloading. Problem persists.
UPDATE 2: Tried restarting computer. No avail.
UPDATE 3: Updated graphics drivers. null.
UPDATE 4: Disabled both GeForce Experience game overlay and Steam overlay. Nada.

** FINAL UPDATE: Installed the CCCP codec bundle. That worked. Issue was not having the correct AV codec for the cutscene at the beginning. **

Steps to reproduce the issue
//start
1) Boot up game.
2) Wait.
3) See Unity Engine.
//end

Solution found:
Apparently the included AVPro Video for Unity do not include a built in video-codec for their videos. You have to install it manually, unsure which specific video-codec is required but I solved it by installing the CCCP bundle of codecs.

Hope this helps, took way to long to get started!

Didn't work for me I'm afraid. Did the whole cccp codecs, no change. Tried setting it to a different resolution as well. Same result.

Well, perhaps after installing those codecs and a reboot of the computer, that seemed to work. I've been playing it now for 9 hours straight, no problems.

:edit: after backing out to desktop and trying to go back into the game, the same problem crept up, can't get past the unity logo.
