Game crashes on startup

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
After hitting "Play", I get a window notification saying

"The game crashed. The crash report folder named "xxxxx" next to game executable."

Steps to reproduce the issue
Hit "Play" on Steam

Greetings Mechwarrior,

While they log the bug on the back end did you try the following which have worked for some community members:

Set exe to run as administrator
Whitelist any and all game related programs with your antivirus.
Try changing res.
Try changing windowed mode.
