Game launches to a black screen with music playing in the background.

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Game starts but leads to black screen with music playing.
Pressing escape seems to change the music, restarting or any other solution i can think of does not work.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Validating game files, running as administrator, setting vsync to "on", using CPU cores to launch the game, noen of these things solve the issue.

Someone, please help, I spent 40 dollars on a game that i cant play.

I was having the same problem, tried alt-enter to go to windowed mode based upon https://segmentnext.com/2018/04/25/battletech-atidxx64-dll-access-violation/, which didn't give me a proper window (just a ghost of the minimize/fullscreen/close buttons from the upper right of a window), then doing alt-enter again gives me a screen divided in 3 vertically, with the left and right sections black and the middle section being grey, flashing brighter every now and then. So maybe try alt-enter, but hasn't helped for me.
