I guess I'm somewhere between pitch black and very dark gray ;)

....unless the lists are written in ink that fades rather quickly  in which case I'm not on any list...

....and that damn ISP STILL hasn't fixed the connection

You can help finetuning the mod with the new map in SP in the meantime and get your connection ready for the new campaigns :)

Perhaps I will....

and leave a special gift for mr. Midas ;)

...as to new campaigns.. if all goes to plan I won't be having the time/ computer/... to play any new campaigns in the near future. (even if the ISP can be bothered to fix our connection)

Juv, do you want to continue?

Fredrik, do you allow Juv to continue?
Juv, i say it again.
The reason why i got pissed off, was not because you "quit".
Everyone has the rights to quit.

But the way you did it,
first, you just dropped out without saying a word.
Then we convinced you to come back.
Then you quit during when KJ crashed at loadup second time.
I sent you several icq messages, you answered those like after 10mins,
those we decieded to play.
You never answered my "are you coming?", "we're waiting for you?", but you answered "should we rehost for you" after like 10mins. And you didn't think that that was needed.

It's a bad quit as Daniel calls it, and this is not the first time you threatend to quit, you've done it more or less every session now.
If you so badly want to quit, then do so..
In a decent way.....

What you wrote now mate is completely different then what you wrote earlier.

Well, if you had played in even one of the maybe 10 or so campaigns I completed maybe you would have realized that you shouldn't have been so fast to pass judgement.

"You do not give the impression of being the type of person one would select if asked whom one wanted as company on a lonely island where one had to fight to survive."

To answer your question, would you want to continue playing with people passing comments like that on you? You seem to confuse the game of EU2 with reality here. A smiley does not make a comment like that cool.

Btw Fredrik managed to give everyone their prefered nation at start except me. I complained about the nation distributional system before the campaign started and suggested alternatives but havent mentioned it since then. For having played a nation I didn't ask to play without any lack in attendance I feel all the criticism here totally unwarranted looking at the whole picture.

I didn't intend to quit but since you faultless people obviously would be so much better off without a player now on everybodies different highly interesting lists I would be most happy to make my place available although me personally, in difference to you, would have left that discussion to be had with the GM...

This is not fully correct.

First I didn't say that I quit the campaign yesterday. Only that I didn't feel like waiting for all too long for the session to start due to RL issues. When I asked you how long we would have to wait at the most before cancelling or going you said "a few minutes." I accepted this but said you would have to AI Venice if it took a lot longer. As I understood it this was accepted. Half an hour, a lot more than promised, later I went about my RL business as I had said I would if we weren't up and running. I stayed a lot longer than I really ought to have due to other commitments and than what was discussed.

Also, starting time is 19.00 and almost none of the ordinary shows up at this time. Furthermore there is no full roster but the subs are searched for during game time. I have said that I dont like this situation, even though I fully respect the hell it is as GM to get subs for every session, especially where the ordinaries don't do their job in this regard. The problem is that players that behave get punished by the behaviour of players that doesn't. I'm sorry that you felt this happened to you last night although I feel that I made my viewpoint clear before it all happened.

I'm happy to make my place available if you feel this is for the best of the campaign.

I could also continue at 19.00 next tuesday with a full roster that doesnt' go afk during rehosts, accepting that RL issues must take precedent when the session is almost an hour late.

The reactions were based on your original post (as Nabu said), which was :

I decided that a one hour delay was as much as my patience would allow me to bear. Feel free to flame me because I didn't want to wait any longer than this.

Based on the above, and on what Fredrick said, the criticism was justified.

Britain will drop the blockade against Prussia if they peace out the Turks. If not, the blockade will continue until the collapse of the Prussian economy.

Lie. We have already peaced the turks and Britain continued its blockade.

The English are acting as a self-proclaimed world police and even have the guts to claim that THEMSELVES are saints, "Oh we gain nothing", while as a matter of fact that they got away with whole freaking Mexico+its CoT which led to a like 100 monthly ducat increase. They can strike anywhere at anytime, and still Britain has yet the best waiting in leader-term.

This was not the problem last session, we had two players that forgot to install the 1.09 beta. That caused the delay.

Sure, but if you got RL issues you should get a sub for that session.

I don't.
It's up to you,
but please stop threaten to quit, no-one here enjoy to waste time in Vnet.
But the most of us belive it's worth the wait.

Aslong as you have fun playing, you should play.

For three days England is willing to negotiate peace. For three days there is no response from Prussia. For three days I feel how Prussia hates Britain. ;)

I belive Prussia accepted WP. The blockade cripples the Prussian economy, so a fast peace should be more in their interest.

Prussia accepts the return to status quo offered by England.

One would appreciate a statement from Juv along the lines

I will play

or

I will not play

As an example: In one of Juv's posts he writes:

"I could also continue at 19.00 next tuesday with a full roster that doesnt' go afk during rehosts, accepting that RL issues must take precedent when the session is almost an hour late."

Well, the simple truth is you aint gonna get that, people will still go afk during hosts. This crew is not disciplined enough.

The current status of Juv's participation, as presented to the readers of this game thread, is simply unacceptable.

Today is also the last day when Ganja requested a renewed contact if we wanted him as sub in France/venice (see post 1684). However I have seen no reaction from Fredrik on this post by me but I have later seen him ask HoG in another thread if he wanted to take over FRA. A perm is of course better than a temp sub but still this is not the way to deal efficiently with this question: best to secure Ganja for the moment and then work on finding a new perm.

I want the GM or co-GM to take a firmer and more efficient grip on this game.

Very good post right to the point. I, for myself, have no idea who is playing now or with whom to speak about eventual political issues. I kept quiet but I'm very glad Daniel brought this question up. No matter who is perm or sub I saw no message on thread, no info, no discussion, no proposals, no ideas, no explanation, nothing...

That's because Fred needs a crazy warmonger in his ally France...
