I would hope the graphics would be somewhat better than in EU but since the EU engine is being used theis is probably a hope in vain; especially since Sergi said that the big focus was on the main screen.:(

What's wrong with the EU battle graphics?

But in EU2 at least the battle animations are merely flash, windowdressing. Even with charging cavalry I don't think I'd spend my time looking at the battle screen other than to follow the numbers of losses (if its anything like EU2).

same for me :), graphics are not bad in addition but most of the time they are desactivated after 2, 3 hours of play from getting bored to see them, so i don't care if it stay the way it is :)

Graphics are useful to catch your attention to something you can affect or react to. If you have the pop-up message in EUII there is little need to see the battle (no chance if you are running at any type of speed).
