Frankly, I am too ill to participate in this game to the extent required to ensure you guys get decent enjoyment of this game. I have been too inactive the whole way along, and this just takes it too far. Thus I am asking the GM to find me a sub. I am so sorry, but I just cannot continue playing in a manner conducive to fun.

Many Thanks
Lord Strange.

No problem, hope you get seriously better (instead of angry).

Also, this game was kinda lost already, so I present our surrender terms, which involve using the Cylon time-machine to go back in time to the beginning of the game, in exchange for the rest of our oil supplies for Cylon uses I don't want to even think about. :)

What, the toasters even have a time machine?

@LS: Get better!

I'd accept the terms of surrender but .. I kinda presume Jopi's win condition is still more or less in the balance here.

That having been said, if it's a "Cylons win" with terms attached I'm sure something can be arranged :p

To be 100% honest I think the game is not entirely unwinnable but the odds are heavily stacked in the cylons favor by now. I am pretty sure you folks will manage to jump at least once more but with how much damage .. and after that things will get dicy.

If we can get a sub I would like to continue. If we cannot get a sub I would rather not abandon the game but simply dropping a player will leave it heavily unbalanced and there is no right and proper way to fix that.

We can Jump, perhaps, but with 3/4 the Vipers destroyed, rest damaged, basestar poking shots at galactica, no nukes, and to top it off, 3 Fuel with 2x Fuel on token and civvies, making for an automatic loss on Jump.

Jopi's condition is to let humans win while screwing with our Vipers, imo, since he infiltrated directly to Command.

You don't lose civvies when you jump?
Anyway, there are destinations that do not cost fuel, or even gain fuel. And there are destinations that are very cheap in terms of fuel / distance ratio.

Examples:

Code:
Tylium Planet

Distance 1
Lose 1 Fuel. The Admiral may risk 1 raptor to roll a die. On a 3+, gain 2 fuel. Otherwise, destroy one raptor.
(4 of those in the deck)

Code:
Ragnar Anchorage

Distance 1
The Admiral may repair up to 3 vipers and 1 raptor. These ships may be damaged or even destroyed.

Code:
Cylon Ambush

Distance 3
Lose 1 Fuel. Then place 1 basestar and 3 raiders in sector ALPHA and 3 civilian ships in sector DELTA.
(Not great, but cheap on the fuel ..)

Code:
Gas Cloud

Distance 1
The Admiral may look at the top 3 cards of the Crisis deck, then place them on the top or bottom of the deck in any order.

Code:
[B]Prove Their Worth[/B]: The humans have won and at least 5 raptors/vipers are destroyed or damaged.

That one?
Yeah, I guess if it's that one he managed to get the secondary condition sorted :D

The main problem (aside from LS being ill - take your time to get better my friend..) is player demoralization I guess. Feeling like you have no chance to win is no fun, is it?

Which is also why I would not mind restarting with a fresh game.

I can sub, but will not be able to be terribly active before the weekend. If a new player wants to try it out I will step aside. :)

I wont declare the game a colonial loss. Only the players can do that.

You can declare it if we manage to drive the fuel level into the ground though :D
On a more serious note, if the humans wish to fight on I'll be happy to oblige.

P.S. That exodus expansion sure is starting to look tasty ..

Is there any new info on it?

Yes.

One of these would be very handy for you guys right now, I reckon:

But then again, the new way nukes work might have meant you wouldn't have had any anymore:

Why? I don't see anything new except the damage of every ship in the sector on the roll of 8.

It targets space areas, not basestars. So you can fire it at an empty space area. Or at one packed with civvies and vipers. :D
Or at one containing only raiders..

The best addition IMHO is the space battle add-on

Don't you think the first Action of the CAG is underpowered? Even the command location lets you activate 2 Vipers.

It might be. I can't be entirely sure - it leads to a lot of unanswered questions. What makes giving that Title Card away such a beneficial thing to do that it warrants a specific action?

So I'm reserving judgement on it until I've seen it in action or at least have an inkling of what results if this interacts with the rest of the new rules.
