This is an issue with mod support. BattleTech is attempting to create a folder in Documents\My Games where mods would be stored, but it does not have access to do this.
UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path "C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\BattleTech" is denied.

Try deleting the BattleTech folder in Documents\My Games and restarting the game. If that doesn't work, you're going to have to edit the permissions of the My Games folder so that the user has access to write to that folder. Last resort is to run BattleTech as an admin user (assuming that you can do that).

That worked, thanks!
You may find it is Windows Defender preventing access to that folder, which it does by default.

In the Windows search box type Ransomware. If Controlled Folder Access is disabled then enable it, and then add BattleTech.exe to the Apps Allowed Through list there.

Steam Version. Stuck at refreshing also. I deleted the mod folder. restarted game, still stuck at refreshing.

Edit. it did create a mod folder, so it looks like that is ok, but still stuck at refreshing game.

I have all DLCs. Season pass for the last year, zero problems until today.

Also, i am running the game as administrator.

After some messing around, i realized it was saying i was offline and none of the expansions where showing up as being owned in left corner. So i signed out and signed back in. It now says i am signed in "Green Button". But still stuck at refreshing games and all expansions are now labeled as "available" in upper left.

It is like the game is having trouble accessing what DLCs i own through paradox? Steam shows i have all DLCs, and i verified integrity of all game files and rebooted computer.

Never mind, i fixed it. My antivirus flagged battletech with latest patch. I had to regrant permissions to battletech.

Thanks for that update! Which AV app do you have and what did you have to do in it to rescue BT?

You need to add the game to the exceptions list, and to the separate Safe Files feature in that AV app.
