I started playing BT TT in 1985, I have faithfully maintained my library of sourcebooks knowing in my heart that one day Original BattleTech would return to glory. The trailer brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. Finally this old soldier will be back in the saddle again! THANK YOU ALL for giving me back my favorite game and giving it a intro that is easy to understand, immersed in lore that any OG BT fan knows all to well.

PLEASE DON'T MAKE US WAIT UNTIL THE 24TH GIVE ME ACCESS NOW!

Great work people, truly great work.

Such a sad undertone this trailer has xD

It begins upbeat with the rise of mankind and the founding of the Star League under the Cameron star.

But the problem with feudal structures is that is a bad ruler away from disaster. Just watching the face of Richard Cameron and the way the music changed you can tell that it's all going to end up in tears!!

Such problems occur even in non-feudal structures - whether or not the position of power in inherited. With that said, the feudal/inherited power structure does leave it more vulnerable to a disaster occurring.

Fantastic work. Its as if the Battletech 2nd edition manual was brought to life before our very eyes by some mystical Comstar ritual...

I'll repost my own stuff here:

The Chant of Jerome Blake: Blessed be his name, and his words; "Measure twice, cut once. Ouch, that's my thumb. I'm going on break"

Thank you Brother Havamal for reposting upon thee great flowing ocean of thee internet these sacred words of the most blessed Blake. May thy thumb healeth most fasteth as I speaketh this English most desecrated. Enjoy thy break Brother.

That was so beautiful. The music and the art were magnificent. Excellent job on capturing a possible rise of mankind to the stars that many of us as teenagers daydreamed about in the mid to late 80's when we played the game.

i dont understand this, i have seen the game out for 3 dyas now on twitch, full release mind you, if the game is done why dont you release it to the ppl that preodre the game ? right now i am just getting frustrated that i have to watch other players play a game i want to play....

And 10.5 more hours will pass till release.

Please stop the negativity over something that has been stated clearly.

I don't think the Star League was presented as a feudal system; it seemed to me to be more akin to the Weimar Republic, where the fatal flaw was a somewhat understandable but ultimately disastrous policy that allowed the head of state to consolidate too much power in the event of a state of emergency.

It also probably didn't help that the Star League apparently had no constitution, so loyalty of the armed forces was all but guaranteed to be factionalized.
