Just to add to the general confusion
. In regards to the A Time of War RPG (table top) I have found it to be both awesome and amazingly frustrating at times. It's very in depth and complex at time, and very simulationist. Not exactly a good "intro" game for folks who are not very bought-in to Battletech in my opinion.
That being said, Catalyst have done a "stream-lined" version of Shadowrun called "Anarchy" and I was hoping (MASSIVE HINT HINT) that they may do a streamlined version of the Mechwarrior/A Time of War RPG as well. I would hope that will all of the renewed interesting in all things giant mech stompy, this would be well recieved and a nice intro RPG product to get folks "living" their Battletech characters and such.
It would be even better if during the development of a new PC RPG game for Btech, this would go hand in hand and thus feed off of and inspire each other.
