One line summary of your issue
The game will crash during a mission or during loading screens

What platform are you running the game on?
Steam

What operating system do you use?
Windows 11

Which version of the game are you running?
1.9.1-686R

What DLC do you have installed?
Flashpoint, Urban Warfare, Heavy Metal

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
After about an hour of gameplay, the game will crash in one of three ways. It will completely freeze and I won't be able to close the game. The game will close in the middle of a mission. Or I will get some strange error messages and the game will close. This typically will happen during a flashpoint mission with consecutive deployments, but not exclusively. If I attempt to replay the mission to flash point the game will normally crash around the end of the mission like clockwork. If I leave the system and play another mission there will normally not be a problem. If I return to the system that had the crash problem and try to replay the flashpoint it crashes at the same mission, normally near the end. If I try a new flashpoint and abandon the crashing flashpoint I may or may not get through the mission, there is no pattern.

Have you tried verifying your files?
Yes

Steps to reproduce the issue
Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
Updated all drivers
disabled Vsync then enabled Vsync
clicked and un-clicked "Exclusive Full-screen mode"

I see a few possible causes of this issue in there:

Counted 162 save slots
The game doesn't like having too many save slots used up. With your 64gb of memory I wouldn't have thought this would be a problem for you, but still best to delete any saves you don't actually need any more

These crashes in your Nvidia software are not normal.

- uninstall it https://developer.nvidia.com/cleanup-tool
- reboot
- install August 2024 by fresh download https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
- reboot again
- if GeForce Experience is now running, unload it before starting the game

System Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd.
System Model: MS-7D25
BIOS: 1.90 (type: UEFI)
Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700K (24 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
You may have the CPU/bios hardware issue discussed here:

FIRST please check for an updated bios. Then please implement the “Intel Default” option in it, if present.

Good luck!

Thank you for the help.
Sadly the problem is still ongoing. I tried it this morning and played for 10 minutes before the system crashed. I have tried to fix the Nvidia problem since July with zero success. I am totally out of ideas at this point. The clean-up tool and re-install have no effect and Geforce will not open. I get an error code 0x0003.

You don't mention the bios update I suggested - did you look into that?

And, since the previous posts Intel have announced yet another microcode update for these affected CPUs , which the vendors like MSI will presumably be rolling out now or soon. So keep checking with them for that.

As far as I can tell my BIOS is up to date. I use AVG Driver updater and it says all my drivers are up to date. I also deleted all the save games except the one I play now. I even reset the GPU drivers.

I have to admit. I did not understand the "please implement the “Intel Default”. The post you linked to was very confusing to me.

Regardless the game still crashes after 15 of play. Thanks for trying to help.

You need to contact MSI for that update. If you have not updated it in, say, the last 2 weeks or so it will definitely need to be updated.Plus as I say another new one will be out soon, probably this month I'd say.

This issue is nothing to do with drivers.

Once the new bios is in there MAY be an "Intel default" option available in it. If so implement that option. If there is not, forget that part.
