Cheers, Got it. These earldoms and their CoAs are cool. I think I will incorporate them into my private game set-up to replace the made-up "duchies" in the default game.
"Herewar" - Hereward? Better ruler of Lincoln would be Maerleswein. There aren't actually a lot of TRE folk in this game, surprisingly. If you ever want to beef it up, use Clarke's
English Nobility under Edward the Confessor, and Baxter's
Earls of Mercia (as well as maybe Ann Williams,
Normans and English).
You've probably had reasons for setting up Northumbria the way you did, but Morcar probably didn't have any land in "Northumberland"; this earldom of Northumbria was a York based entity, where the York "prince-bishop" is.
OK. To whom it may concern:
I think these points are about the map of Ireland, rather than any changes Veld made. This is the first time I've seen it:
Dubb Lin (spelled Dubb Lin in the text) - "I think Dubh Linn" was meant ("Dubb" Linn makes no sense), though Dublin was never Irish speaking in the period.
"An Cabhan" (modern Irish for County Cavan) is not historically notable; probably better using the area for Airgialla or Breifne
Irish provinces are now, when they're spelled correctly, a disconcerting mix of Old, Middle and modern Irish. I think unless it's fixed the CK default is better than the new Ireland map.
But I gotta say, the new Wales map is good. Shame we can't just use the new Wales one.
[To whoever is responsible] If there's a duchy of Tyrone, Aileach should be in it. Aileach is in Tyrone and was the "Capital" of Tyrone (Tir Eoghain), though given that the kings of Aileach were a pre-CK thing, Aileach should probably just get renamed back to Tir Eog(h)a(i)n (Tyrone).
