Ola fellow Doomsters!
Well I know that it was kind of my own fault. It was too late; my 8 sub flotte (commanded by Donitz himself) had decided to cancel their convoy hunting and head back to base (via the English Channel!)
Interception by vast naval and air power alerted me to the pending disaster. I managed to break off and retreat with only minor damage to several subs; abliet with severe organisational loss; but all subs accounted for. Even the write up confirmed this; battle lost but no losses.
A few hours after the battle I went to locate the fleet but it had disappeared, gone, puff, vanish, just plain GONE.
I checked by leaders and sure enough there was Dontiz available for duty, a little dazed but available. I checked the battle statistics; again these only confirmed what I knew; lost battle but no loss of subs.
Where have they gone; is this a known bug?
