Congrats Yogi

Thanks!

I am actually not clear about what this means though; there is supposed to be another poll with more candidates for Best Completed AAR, right?

And then a third poll between the winners?

Care to clarify, My Lord Durham?

Skorzeny made quite a few appearences in WTICG, Maddogg1178.

His debut was the (secret) capture of Stalin for Hitler.

Next he was involved with breaking out the imprisioned members of the German-American Bund from Sing-Sing (courtesy of Prufrock451).

His next assignment was to lead the special assult detail that captured the White House. Roosevelt was long gone though.

And finally, he led the crack troops of his Special Services Battallion in the capture of the Los Alamos research base, killing General Groves and gutting the Manhattan project.

In the epilouge we learnt that our favourite Austrian succeeded Canaris as head of the Abwehr and led the German espionage during the Cold War with Japan during the 50s.

Ah, too bad TSATN didn't win.... Congrats anyway yogi!

It just means you have bragging rights. The next poll will feature different AARs. There are no playoffs involved. I like to keep the nominations down to around five. Too many dilutes the voting. (Face it, who wants to slog through 10 nominees when most voters don't even read the 5 who are nominated?)

First and foremost, I'd like to thank all you guys who voted for "Where the Iron Crosses Grow", and also all who read and commented on it while I was writing. The constant feedback and encouragement made a world of difference, in truth, I couldn't have done it without you!

A very special thanks to Mettermrck and Prufrock451 for contributing so splendidly to this AAR. WTICG would not have been the same without you.

:D Nice hat! Do you need a coat to match?;)

Any number of actresses would be great to sin with, but the ones you'd marry in the blink of an eye form a very short list; Gwyneth Paltrow, Sandra Bullock, and last but not least, Helena Bonham Carter!

And thanks, no, I'm good. Got a 20s vintage smoking coat in the best Holmes style.:D I wear it sometimes when I write - toghether with the Fez and puffing on my water pipe.

congrats yogi now please finish off your current aar so we can have that win as well :D
