WoW, Im the first for once! Sorry everyone else but I had 2vote for Mettermrck. It was the first of the epics (unfinished) that I started ready and in so many small matters of history, educated me 2my ignorance!

SykoNurse, I didnt even know you had an AAR:( .

Alex, if Mettermrcks wasnt in this list you would have got my vote for your Against the Odds game. Simply superb!! Sorry.:(

Go Mettermrck!!

My vote goes to Mettermrck's superb AAR too. It was an excellent story.

That AAR must have been one of the first ones I read after becoming a member here. I was really impressed with the style.

:)

Sorry to the other writers, your AARs rocked too, but my vote HAS to go to Mettermrck. It's absolutely top notch.

So, I'm I to understand that there are two different OscAARs for best completed AAR? Or should I change my sig back to nominee?

I add my vote to those that have already been cast in favour of Mettermrck. Damn shame that it ened like it did. :(

I'm planning on writing a semi-AAR myself, although it will mainly be focused around events after the HoI time period - after a Nazi victory, that is.

This won't be much of a competition if the current development continues...

Perhaps it works like the RL Oscars, like every year there is a new set of nominations and one is picked etc. Cant see why there should be only one winner!

As for the sig, I would leave the OscAAR in there as WTICG richly deserved to be labelled with the OscAAR tag. Perhaps all AAR threads that win should have a 'OscAAR:' tag at the front?!

It has to be Mettermrck's "World War II and Its Origins", without question. That was the first epic AAR that I remember reading when I got onto the boards. I am absolutely convinced that if his hard drive hadn't gone kaput, we would still be reading more of his story even today.

I feel kinda alone over there in Alexandru H. land ;).

I just have a soft spot for against the odds AARs (ex. my two:D).

Uhh, I did not know that I had a nominee...wow, poor choice, Lord Durham...:)

Edit: removed the comments....no need to pretend I am not a little happy:)

mettermck gets my vote
is there an echo in here?
is there an echo in here?
cause the majority seems to be saying the same thing.

Well, you managed to get 3 votes in spite of Mettermrck! Feel proud! :D

Poll closed. Thanks for voting and congratulations to all.

Congrats Mettermrck!

A well deserved OscAAR indeed, and a landslide victory in the polls.
